| Universal
offers a ride reservation system called "Universal
Express Plus." This works similar to Disney's
FastPass system, with a couple of differences. First
of all,
you purchase a separate pass
at the front gate (prices vary according to
season), eliminating the need to go around
to the various rides to receive return times. Plus,
the pass is good for multiple
rides. The number of passes sold each day is
limited and they usually sell out early in the day
in busy season.
New!! It's now possible to purchase
Universal Express Plus passes in
advance. Simply call 1-888-372-2788
to charge them over the phone. When prompted, give
Code 1501. |

Two theme parks, Universal
Studios and Islands of Adventure,
and an entertainment and restaurant complex called City
Walk sandwiched between
them make up Universal Orlando.
This is one of the city's hottest attractions with good reason!
Universal Studios is a movie-themed park.
The rides appeal more to adults because of some of the movie
themes and also because of their sheer intensity.

While some parks may try to avoid scaring the youngsters, at
Universal Studios they like to push the envelope.
This park is definitely not for the faint of heart but
white-knuckle thrill-seekers will never want to leave.
Islands of Adventure has been described as "an
attraction that takes the whole notion of theme park to the
next level."
Anyone expecting more of the same type of experience will be
surprised, but pleasantly, because Islands of Adventure is a
different kind of beast completely.
Islands of Adventure provides state of the art entertainment
and rides like you have never seen before.
The Dueling Dragon rollercoaster is a prime example.
Twin roller coasters intertwined pass within inches of each
while the first drop on the Incredible Hulk exerts the
same G-force as and F-16 jet fighter. Adrenaline
junkies will want to try out the option of waiting in the "Front
Row Seats" line.If you're ready for more excitement when the
sun goes down, be sure to stop by CityWalk, Universal's
dining, dancing and shopping center. Visit Bob Marley's
or Margaritaville to mellow out, chill at City Jazz,
or step up the pace at The Groove and The Latin
Quarter. And if you're hungry...BAM! - there's
Emeril's!
Expect to want to spend a lot of time in these parks!
